Gopal Krishna R Dhondalay PhD
Data Scientist / Bioinformatician / Computational Biologist / Human Geneticist
Education
Ph. D Nottingham Trent University, U.K.
2009 - 2013 Department of Bioinformatics
During post-graduate research on the Systems biology of breast cancer, high throughput microarray datasets were used to classify and infer networks in breast cancer using computational predictive Artificial Neural Networks. A non-reduction approach was applied to ER system and later extended to PR and HER2 systems, with guidance from Prof Graham Ball.
Masters in HUMAN GENETICS Sri Ramachandra University, India
2004 - 2006 Department of Human Genetics
Specialization in Human Genetics enlightened me to Developmental genetics, Immunogenetics, Biochemical genetics, Radiation genetics, Cancer genetics and many more focused subjects. A project on the dosimetry using COMET assay in cancer patients receiving radiotherapy was successfully completed for the partial fulfillment of the degree, under the guidance of Dr Solomon FD Paul.
Bachelors in BIOTECHNOLOGY Bangalore University, India
2001 - 2004 Department of Biotechnology, SSMRV College
In this curriculum, I had in-depth knowledge about cell biology, molecular cell biology, genetics, immunology, recombinant DNA technology, and biochemistry with basic subjects such as chemistry and botany. During the study, I undertook training programs to tune up laboratory skills and completed a project where in antibiotics were isolated from soil and tested for their reactivity.
